The experience of Lone Mountain Ranch stretches beyond the history of its buildings and its proximity to Yellowstone National Park.
While it is easy to think of this as primarily an opportunity to connect with nature, it is also a chance to connect on a human level.
You sense this the moment you arrive. Many of our staff have served here year after year for several years and their love of this place is contagious. Most of our guests agree it is every bit as much the people who make this place special.
From the ORVIS® Endorsed Fly Fishing Guides who share with you their local knowledge of the area’s fisheries to the naturalist leading you through the wildlife treasures of the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone to the guide leading your family on horseback into the mountains to the ski trail groomers who begin their day as you close your eyes for the night, these people are as much a part of this place as the mountains.
There is the unmistakable attention to the details and personal touch that makes time here cherished and our staff are the kind of people who remember the families who visit here and welcome them back year after year as genuine friends.
