Yellowstone Country Birding and Wildlife Safari - 2009
Discover birds and other wildlife by visiting various habitats preferred by a variety of species living in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem surrounded by magnificent scenery.
We will visit different habitats that provide food, water, shelter, and space required by all living things including the human species. We will take short, easy walks among or along several different habitat types such as conifer forests, grassland, wetlands, aspen groves and lakes to discover what species live there and how each utilize resources provided by each habitat. We will also learn why it is important to conserve these habitats.
Our tools will be binoculars, spotting scopes, digital cameras, and field guides, so bring them if you have them; binoculars are essential. We will use these tools for close-up looks at birds and animals to identify them and to study their behavior using interpretive viewing techniques without interrupting their normal activities. We will use field guides and digital cameras to learn more about what we see.
Space is limited to 8 -12 people, so register soon by calling the Ranch at 1-800-5124-4644.
