Missouri River Fishing Info
The Mighty Mo offers superb dry-fly fishing
The confluence of the Missouri is in Three Forks, Montana created by the Gallatin, Madison and Jefferson Rivers. Where the Mighty Mo flows out of Holter Dam just north of Helena, Montana and for 30 miles to the town of Cascade is a favorite destination.
This stretch is home to a plethora of fish, who are known to put up a good fight with anglers who try to land them. It is also home to several Lewis & Clark historic sites. The average size fish is 3-4 inches longer than any of the other rivers we fish and there are very good numbers of them.
This river usually is accessed by drift boat and is about a three hour drive from the Ranch. Browns, Rainbows, Cutthroats and Mountain Whitefish are attracted in great numbers to this section of the Missouri by the diversity of insects and number of hatches.
