Gallatin River
Winter fishing on the Gallatin has picked up with warmer temperatures. Nymphing is the best method as the dry fly fishing has not picked up yet. Stonefly and Mayfly nymphs are working best with lots of weight to get down deep. 350+- CFS

Madison River in Yellowstone Park

Closed for winter season to fishing

Madison River below Hebgen Dam

The section between Slide Inn and Mctee Bridge closes on March 1st until the 3rd week in May. Fishing between Hebgen and EArthquake Lakes will fish well through the spring. Small midge and mayfly nymphs work well this time of the year. Flow 900+- cfs

Madison River below Ennis Dam

Winter streamer fishing is underway. Zonkers and leaches will take large fish off the banks. Look for baetis and midge hatches as well when the spring weather warms up. . 1500+- cfs

Firehole River

Closed for the winter season for fishing

Yellowstone River

Fishing with streamers for the big fish. Nymphing for the large numbers of fish. Look for baetis and midge on the cloudy days. 2,000+- CFS
