In addition to all of the wonderful activities that are a part of our regular Naturalist Program, we have a few other special activities that we offer.
Each Summer we have a guest naturalist who brings to the Ranch specialized skills and a strong desire to share his or her knowledge with our guests.
An example of this "Guest Naturalist" program is Leslie Stoltz, who has introduced many people to the joy of birding. By netting and banding the many species of birds that inhabit this area, guests not only learn a great deal about migratory birds, but the banding contributes to the national base of knowledge about birds and their habitat.
Sea kayaking on Yellowstone Lake, North America's largest mountain lake, has proven to be a very popular "extra cost" option. Spend the day paddling in this beautiful lake past thermal features and the spectacular Yellowstone scenery.
Wildflowers, mountain peaks, wildlife, birds and clear mountain streams are all wonderful subjects for outstanding photographs. Summer or winter, this area is a photographer's dream! If you want to enhance your photographic skills, you might consider joining one of our photo clinics.
