To complement the many weeks’ worth of activities offered, Lone Mountain Ranch can also arrange for guests to experience other Big Sky area activities praised by guests. All of the activities can be arranged through our Office or the Outdoor Shop and range in price.

Dog Sledding with Spirit of the North Dogsledding Adventures
With a dogsled adventure from Spirit of the North at Moonlight Basin, guests have access to stunning landscape normally closed to the public and a truly unique form of winter travel. Imagine gliding quietly along, pulled effortlessly by a team of energetic huskies. Around one bend, Lone Mountain rises majestically. Around another, unobstructed views of Fan Mountain fill the sky. And all along, you experience this gorgeous winter wonderland from the unique perspective of a ground-level sled. If you would like a little more adventure, try your hand at driving the sled.

Your experienced guides will give you hands-on instructions for how to handle the enthusiastic unit of dogs.

Don’t worry…the huskies are well-trained packs and every effort will be made to ensure your safety. The experience lasts about two hours.
